PRESS RELEASE: Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
On Tuesday 27 February 2018 at approx 7:49 PM, Somonauk Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was observed stopped at a stop sign and while at the stop sign, the vehicle started to move forward and stopped twice, and then turned its lights off and then on twice. Police also observed once the vehicle began moving that the driver was driving at 25 MPH in a 45 MPH speed zone. After further investigation, Police arrested Dakota L. Toth, 22 years old of the 100 Block of Cardinal Lane, Sandwich, IL for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Toth was transported to the Sandwich Police Department for processing. Toth was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol with a BAC Above .08 and Obstructing the Flow of Traffic. Toth posted bond and was released from custody. He is due in court in Sycamore, Illinois on Wednesday 28 March, 2018 at 9:00 AM.
