Gibson City Police Department News

The GCPD Range will be open from noon to 3 this Saturday, November 10th. Hunters are welcome to bring their deer guns and make sure they are all ready for the 1st gun season. We have targets and lead sled available.

These 4 young men work for Direct Energy and have been approved for a local peddlers permit.

Due to circumstances beyond my control we will be closing down our Thursday night shoots for the season. We will be open NOVEMBER 10th from noon to 4 if you would like to shoot handguns or dial in your deer gun before the 1st gun season!

The Facebook page is not monitored 24/7 so making a Facebook post or a Facebook message may result in situations not being handled in a timely manner.

Got a report from a citizen that there is a beagle/collie mix in the vicinity of 9th and Church, going up to people and acting as if he's either lost or has been dumped. I went over there and drove all over the area but could not find the dog. If anyone sees a dog matching that description please call the police department (784-8666) and they will get ahold of me. Reminder!!!!!!! Trash receptacles located at all of the Gibson City parks are there for the sole purpose of keeping our parks clean. Depositing household trash and other items into City or business dumpsters is a crime and can lead to criminal charges being filed.

We are happy to announce the GCPD Range will be open to the public on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month starting in April. The first range night will April 12th. Cost will remain $5 per shooter. See you all soon!
