Our department is hosting our 4th annual "Officer Santa Program"! This program could NOT be possible without the tremendous support from our local community! We have helped 157 children and 62 families in the last three years during the holiday season! With your help, we can continue to provide for those in need during the Christmas season. Illinois Valley Regional Dispatch applicants must have the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays and evenings as needed. Applicants must have excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task and work in close proximity to other employees. Illinois Valley Regional Dispatch has a very intense training program since applicants will be dispatching for multiple agencies (6 Police agencies, 8 Fire Department and 6 Ambulance agencies). Our training program is a minimum of 12 weeks with a qualified experienced telecommunicator. Pay scale for a starting telecommunicator is $16.00 per hour upon complication of the training program along with obtaining all required certifications the pay will increase the $17.00 per hour.
