Illinois Valley Regional Dispatch applicants must have the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays and evenings as needed. Applicants must have excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task and work in close proximity to other employees. Illinois Valley Regional Dispatch has a very intense training program since applicants will be dispatching for multiple agencies (6 Police agencies, 8 Fire Department and 6 Ambulance agencies). Our training program is a minimum of 12 weeks with a qualified experienced telecommunicator. According to Ameren's website there are approximately 1493 customers without power in the LaSalle area. Crews have been dispatched and are working to restore power by approximately 11:15 a.m.
