Details to remember for the parade tonight: - Route is Lincoln Middle School parking lot at Schwarz & West Streets, then travel east on St. Louis Street to Vandalia Street, then north on North Main Street and will terminate at High Street. - Roadway will be shut down at about 6:15. - Parade starts at 6:30. Stay safe and enjoy the parade!!!!

****PRESS RELEASE**** Edwardsville Police Personnel will be participating in a No Shave November charity event benefiting Edwardsville Neighbors. In order to participate, Edwardsville Police Personnel submitted a cash donation to Edwardsville Neighbors in exchange for being able to grow facial hair throughout the month of November. If you happen to see several bearded Patrol Officers, Investigators, Community Service Officers, Dispatchers, or Command Staff members, be sure to compliment them on their fantastic new hair growth! It’s all for a good cause! ISP SWAT Team will be doing some extra training at the Old Police Station, 400 N Main St starting this Tuesday (10/30/2018) and continuing thru this Friday (11/02/2018).

On 10/19/18 at approximately 10:44 a.m., a blue in color Specialized Diverge 54cm bicycle was stolen from the Bike Surgeon located at 2341 Plum Street, Edwardsville Il. The suspect information was reported as: -white male wearing a gray sweatshirt, gray sweatpants, red / gray beanie and sunglasses The suspect rode away from the front of the store on the bicycle and was last seen on the Goshen Trail at Plum St. Anyone with information pertaining to this theft or current whereabouts of the bicycle is asked to contact the Edwardsville Police Dept. @ 656-2131.

This has left some traffic signals dark, please remember that a dark signal means the intersection is to be treated as a 4-way stop.

Tonight the Explorer post learned how radar and lidar works. After the classroom experience they were able to try their hand at it. Illinois State Police District 11 Collinsville, we may be creating some future troopers!

Today, Wednesday Oct. 3rd at 1:18 PM CDT, there will be a nationwide test of the Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) system. Your cell phone will make a bunch of noise but is is only a TEST! Below is a link to is the FEMA post that explains what to expect and why they do it.
