Please slow down on Old Indiantown Road. After many complaints, HPD will be running radar and writing citations as needed.

The Henry Police Department will be starting their annual Fall Clean Up. Special attention will be given to derelict vehicles, trailers, boats, campers, etc. These must be operable and have valid tags. Please move trailers, campers, etc. off of streets now so Public Works will be able to plow snowfall in a timely manner. If keeping demolition vehicles, they must be garaged. Weeds, grass, leaves, and brush should be hauled away or burned following the city ordinance. Let’s keep our town looking pretty as we head into winter. Thank you for your cooperation the past few months. If you are a senior citizen or disabled resident in need of assistance with your property, please feel free to contact the Henry Police Department at (309) 364-3933.

Very much appreciated!!!

Thanks for visiting!!!

Friendly Reminder: Be sure to lock cars, house, and outbuildings when you are not there to keep your property protected. With all of the on-line sale sites available for posting items, it has become much more convenient to sell stolen property.

Henry-Senachwine Grade School Traffic Update: Even with the changes that have been made at the grade school this year, HPD is receiving reports of speeding at times of drop off and pick up of Pre-K students. The safety of the children and adults on school property, Richard Street, & Williams Street should be a concern of everyone driving in the area. It shouldn't be necessary to run radar but that is the route we will take and issue citations to those who can't follow the speed limit. Allow yourself enough time to get where you are going without breaking the law.

HPD just took a report for a person being fooled by an IRS scam. Made us wonder WHY doesn't the cashier at the stores selling the ITune, Google play cards, etc. ever question the distraught customer standing in front of them on the phone who is following instructions on how to make these transactions. Just maybe they could have saved someone from making a mistake. Or are these stores getting something out of selling high dollar amounts of the cash cards?

City Park Restrooms: Recently Henry has seen some criminal damage at the park restrooms. Police will be doing random checks and also locking the restrooms at night. Anyone with information on person(s) causing damage to city property is asked to contact HPD.

Missing young man has been located. Thank you.

FYI: Brown Bag It will be at the American Legion today at noon.
