We are asking for your help again. On Friday night or early Saturday morning (09-07-18 - 09-08-18) we had a car stolen in Havana that was parked in the Mason County Housing parking lot. The same night, coincidentally, Mason County Sheriff's Office had a truck and 4 wheeler stolen in Bath, IL. At this time, all vehicles have been recovered and processed. The suspects of these thefts are going to run out of time as soon as the DNA evidence from the vehicles return from the lab. While we are waiting for those returns, we would accept any information anyone has on one or all of the suspects. Please call the Havana Police Department at 543-3321, Mason County at 543-2231, or Crimestoppers at 543-2746. Thanks in advance. It's a pleasure to work in a County and Community with caring people that support and aid law enforcement. We try not to ask for assistance often, but when we do you all come through. Let's make sure the people that did this don't have the opportunity to strike again.

The Havana Fireworks will be on July 4th, at dark. They will be held at the Riverfront Park again this year as it seemed everyone enjoyed them there. Events and Music will be all day in the park. Traffic will be heavy so keep an eye out for children and prepare to drive slowly. Please keep the fireworks to the professionals and DO NOT bring any of your own. There is usually a pretty big turn out and the safety of everyone is at the top of our list. Don't drink and drive and stay safe.

Don't fall victim to a car burglar who is looking for a crime of opportunity-lock your car, take your keys, remove your belongings.
