We are calling this “Helping Bo’s Buddies” As K-9 Bo prepares to retire this month he has asked that you donate to his Buddies at the Morgan County Animal Shelter. The event is being organized by Illinois College Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity. There will be a collection box in the lobby of the Jacksonville Police Department through November 28th. Items Include: -New or used collars leashes -Brushes -Flea/Tick Control -Animal Shampoo -Food -Dental Care items

*Traffic Route Alert* Starting Wednesday, September 26, 2018, Kosciusko Street Southbound at the intersection of Grove Street will be closed to thru traffic for the dismissal of Washington School. The traffic pattern will start Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 12:30 p.m. thru 1:00 p.m. due to an early out. The new traffic pattern will then resume on regular school release times from 2:20 p.m. thru 3:00 p.m. returning to the normal direction at the end of dismissal. The safety of our children is an utmost priority of School District 117 and the Jacksonville Police Department. We hope this measure will add to the safety of the children during dismissal. Residents of Kosciusko St. will in no way be prohibited from coming or going from their residence as the northbound lane will remain open. Access from north to south will only be affected during this short period of time. Questions can be referred to the Jacksonville Police Department at 479-4630. His name is Karl. According to city records he has the proper permits and identification.
