It's finally starting to feel like Halloween! Here are some events happening in the city. We also have some safety tips for you.
🦇Chillicothe does not have an official trick or treat time. We suggest getting as much candy as you can from 5pm to 8pm Oct 31st!
👻Pearce Community Center is hosting ther Spectacular event after the Merchant Trick or Treat from 4pm to 630pm Oct. 26th!
🤡Chillicothe Chamber of Commerce Merchant Trick or Treat will happen from 3pm to 5pm Oct 26th!
🧟♂️Evergreen Senior Living is hosting a Trick or Treat event from 5pm to 7pm Oct 31st!
🧙♀️ Chillicothe Public Library us making Halloween gingerbread houses 345pm to 5pm Oct 16th!
🧛♂️ Spider Hill Haunted Attractions is hosting all their awesome fun every Friday and Saturday of the month at Three Sisters Park !
🎃Safety Tips🎃
Halloween is fun for the whole family, it provides us with another opportunity to make memories with our families and the community. It is just as important that everyone be safe as it is for everyone to have fun! It is encouraged that every adult speak to their children on ways to keep themselves safe. Below is a list of suggestions and ideas that can help everyone have a happy and safe Halloween.
-Use sidewalks
-Bring your phone in case of Emergency
-Drive 5-10mph under the speed limit do to the added foot traffic
-Only accept and give unopened and wrapped treats.
-Avoid accepting homemade treats
-All candy should be examined for choking hazards
-Never go into a stranger's home
-Accompany your children or travel in groups
-Stay in well lit areas or during daylight
-Make sure costumes don’t become tripping hazards and all masks are easy to see through.
-Use bright colored flame resistant costumes so children are better seen Glow sticks and Flashlights provide a great light source
-Check makeup for ingredients that may cause allergic reactions
-Use caution when accessorizing with weapons that others may consider threatening (guns, knifes, swords, chainsaws)
If you find any suspicious treats do not eat them and NOTIFY THE POLICE IMMEDIATELY so other people can be warned and the responsible person can be arrested. Safety of you and our community is of the utmost importance to us.
