Veterans Day Parade Sunday November 11th, 2018, Quiet Pride MC will sponsor the annual Veterans Day Parade. The parade is scheduled to begin at 10:00 am. The parade route will proceed south on Monroe from Bryan to Main, left on Main to Adams, where it will disband at the WW II Memorial at the Courthouse Plaza. Floats will be parked on Hamilton between Jefferson and Adams during the memorial ceremony which will start at 11:00 am. Missing is: Miranda K. Shelton Age: 22 F/ Bi-Racial Light complexion 5’08, 180 Brown Eyes, Brown Hair It is reported Miranda K. Shelton has not been in contact with her family since October 18th, 2018. Anyone who has information on her whereabouts are asked to call the Peoria Police Department at (309) 673-4521 or Crimestoppers at (309) 673-9000.

Trick or treat hours for the entire City of Peoria for 2018 shall be from 5pm to 8pm on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Costumes: • Should be flame resistant • Avoid masks which can become hot and impair vision. Instead, try using face paint. • Add reflective tape to costumes and trick or treat bags. • Wear light colored clothing. • Use a flashlight. • Swords, knives and such should be made from a flexible material such as cardboard. • Real looking guns should never be used. Trick or Treating: • Avoid trick or treating alone. Walk in groups or with a trusted adult. • Adults should accompany small children and know the planned route of older children. • Never cross the street between parked cars, always use cross walks or cross at the corner. • Use sidewalks. If sidewalks are not available, stay to the side of the road and walk facing traffic. • Always look both ways before crossing the street. • Walk, do not run, from house to house. • Visit only homes with porch lights on. • Accept treats at the door – NEVER go inside. • DO NOT accept rides from strangers. • Do not eat candy until you get home and an adult is able to inspect the candy. Adults should throw away any unwrapped candy. Homemade treats should not be accepted from strangers. Allowing Trick or Treaters: • If you are welcoming trick or treaters, leave your porch light on. • Do not hand out unwrapped or homemade candy. • Restrain household pets. Motorists: • Be aware of excited children about the streets and sidewalks. Exercise extreme caution when driving in the early evening hours, including while backing from driveways. • Do not wear any type of mask while driving that could restrict your vision. • Adults: If attending a party where alcohol is served, have a designated driver. Shooting PPD Incident #18-23718 (Peoria, IL) - Monday, October 22, 2018, at approximately 1:37 am, Peoria Police responded to the 2700 block of West Millbrook Court regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim with a gunshot wound to the shoulder area. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries. While on scene, officers made contact with the suspect who after a short while surrendered to officers without incident in the 2200 block of West Gilbert at approximately 3:32 am. The suspect was transported to the Peoria Police Department Criminal Investigations Division for interview purposes. Additional information to follow when an update is available.

Shooting Victims - UPDATE PPD Incident #18-23601 Peoria, IL - Saturday, October 20, 2018, at approximately 1:19 pm, Peoria Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert of multiple rounds fired in the 700 block of Spring Street. Upon arrival, officers located two victims with gunshot wounds in a driveway in the 700 block of Spring Street. Both victims were adult males. One victim sustained a life threatening injury and was transported to a local hospital. The second victim suffered what is believed to be a graze type wound and did not require transport to the hospital. There is no suspect information at this time. ************************UPDATE*************************** The 49 year old victim who was transported to the hospital has been pronounced deceased. This incident is under investigation. Thank you for sharing. ***************************************************** Missing Endangered Person PPD Incident #18-23394 Peoria, IL - The Peoria Police Department requests help from the public in locating a missing endangered 20 year old male, Jeffrey M. Curry. Curry is a white male, 5’ 7” tall, 160 lbs with blue eyes and short black hair. Curry was last seen on October 17, 2018 at approximately 7pm in the area of the 1900 block of West Newman Parkway. Curry was last seen wearing light green sweatpants and blue striped hooded sweatshirt. Curry is in need of medication. Please see attached photo. Tabais J. Kelley is a bi-racial male, with a light complexion, 5’1” tall, 75 lbs, with brown eyes and short black hair. Kelley was last seen wearing a white tank top and army green shoes. At approximately 7:11 pm on October 7, 2018, officers were advised that Kelley was last seen on today’s date at approximately 11:00 am in the area of Glen Oak Park, Peoria, Illinois. The main events include ½ Marathon, Marathon Relay, and Full Marathon. The event is expected to bring in approximately 2000-3100 runners along with several thousand spectators and volunteers. The Full Marathon, Half Marathon and Relay will begin at 7:30 am. All races will start at the Riverfront Museum on Washington between Liberty and Fulton. The races will proceed northeast on Washington. The race will flow through the north end, Springdale Cemetery and back into downtown before heading to area of Bradley University. It will return back into the downtown area and then continue on to the rest of the course before ending at Water and Hamilton. Homicide Arrest PPD Incident #18-21402 Peoria, IL - Saturday, September 22, 2018, at approximately 9:45 am, Peoria Police responded to the 200 block of Northeast Rock Island on a male who was possibly deceased. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male inside of a residence who was unresponsive. The male, believed to be in his 60s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. This incident is being investigated as a homicide. **UPDATE** During the course of the investigation, detectives gathered information that led to the identification of a suspect, Daniel J. Jablonski (39) . At approximately 5:18 pm, detectives and patrol officers took Jablonski into custody without incident in the area of Wilcox and Atlantic, Peoria, Illinois. Jablonski was transported to the Peoria Police Department Criminal Investigations Division for interview purposes and was subsequently arrested for First Degree Murder. Jablonski was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
