PRESS RELEASE: At approximately 1 AM May 27, 2018 officers from the Caseyville Police Department responded to a 911 call of a man shot in the 800 block of Old Caseyville Road. Initially officers were unable to locate the victim. Officers then received an additional call of a man with a gun in the 400 block of Rich Street. Officers responded to that location and took a subject in custody and located a handgun. While still on that scene they received an additional call from EMS that they were out with a man on Black Lane at Old Caseyville Road with a gunshot wound. That man was transported to a local hospital in stable condition . The case is currently under investigation.

St. Louis man charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver. Bethalto woman charged with Possession of Methamphetamine. On May 19, 2018, officers of the Caseyville Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Bunkum Rd near Black Ln. During the stop, K9 Dallas was deployed showing a positive indication for the presence of narcotic odor. A search of the vehicle showed an amount of Methamphetamine and contraband indicating the intent to deliver. On May 21, 2018, the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office charged the following: Ray A Taylor, 36 of St. Louis Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver. Class 2 Felony, $75,000 bond. Erin L Cobb, 31 of Bethalto Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Class 3 Felony, Bond $25,000.

On 5/24/18 an officer with the Caseyville Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Black Lane near Penn St. During the course of this traffic stop the sole occupant of the vehicle was found to have a controlled substance in his possession. On 5/25/18 the St. Clair County States Attorney's Office charged Eric C. Mahan of Caseyville with possession of a controlled substance. His bond was set at $20,000. He is currently incarcerated at the St. Clair County Jail due to want of bond.

Last week the the Caseyville Police Department was honored to be invited to the career day at the Caseyville Elementary School! We were also joined by members of the Caseyville Volunteer Fire Department and the Public Works Department. The kids as well as the adults had a great time !

Collinsville man charged with Possession of Methamphetamine after being arrested on a felony warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine. On May 18, 2018, an officer of the Caseyville Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Old Bunkum Road. During the stop, a male passenger could be seen attempting to conceal something in the vehicle. The passenger was found to have an active felony warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine. A search of the vehicle showed drug paraphernalia and an amount of methamphetamine. On May 19, 2018, the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office charged Brandon J Johnson, 37 of Collinsville, with Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 3 Felony.

Collinsville man charged with Possession of Methamphetamine. On May 15, 2018, an officer of the Caseyville Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Morrison near Caseyville Road. During the stop, a male passenger was found to be in possession of a small amount of cannabis, a methamphetamine pipe and an amount of methamphetamine. On May 15, 2018, the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office charged Chad K Barta, 39 of Collinsville, with Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 3 Felony. Bond was set at $20,000.

On 5/16/18 the Caseyville Police Department took a report of a lost debit card. The owner of the debit card realized it was missing and called the bank to cancel it. The owner realized there were two fraudulent transactions that occurred after it was lost. The suspect used the card at two local businesses for a total of approximately $90. During these transactions the suspect had a 3-4 year old male juvenile with him. The Caseyville Police Department is lookin for help identifying the suspect in these photos. Great turn out to day at the Fishing Derby hosted by the Caseyville Police Department. Nearly 70 children took part this morning! Huge thanks to local angler Rob Crane for his help and guidance!! Also thanks for the community support and all the donations and volunteers to make it possible!

On April 18, 2018, Officers of the Caseyville Police Department were called to Dollar General for a complaint of retail theft. After an investigation, a suspect was identified and also determined to have two felony warrants and one misdemeanor warrant for her arrest. On May 10, 2018, Officers apprehended Fallon J Vallejo, 34 of Caseyville, at her residence. Vallejo was taken into custody for her outstanding warrants and retail theft.

On May 6, 2018, Officers of the Caseyville Police Department observed a male subject taking a T.V. out of a motel window and placing it in a car at Americas Best Inn. Contact was made with the two subjects in the vehicle. One subject refused to exit the vehicle. While attempting to get the subject to exit the vehicle, he began reaching around near his waist band. The subject was immediately removed and detained. A search of his person, showed a loaded pistol with a sawed off barrel. The subject was also confirmed to be a prior convicted felon. On May 8, 2018, the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Officer charged Philip A Ney, 25 of Belleville, with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon, a Class 3 Felony. Bond was set at $35,000.

On March 6th, 2018, officers of the Caseyville Police Department responded to an address on 6th street for a subject removal. While at the residence for the call, officers observed in plain view a substance that appeared to be methamphetamine. On April 9, 2018, the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Officer charged Jerry L B Mccallister, 31 of Caseyville with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 3 Felony. Bond was set at $30,000. On April 10, 2018, Mccallister was taken into custody at his residence on this warrant.

On 5/8/18 at approximately 7:30am officers with the Caseyville Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 8700 block of Old Bunkum Rd for a traffic violation. During the stop the driver provided officers with a false document in an effort to conceal his identity. Officers then discovered the driver of the vehicle had an active warrant for his arrest. Officers attempted to get the driver out of the vehicle and he refused. The driver was then removed from the vehicle and actively resisted officers attempts to place him under arrest. Once in custody, a search of the vehicle yielded a small amount of controlled substance. On 5/9/18 the St. Clair County State’s Attorneys Office charged Terrell K. Rogers of Ofallon, IL with the following charges: -Possession of a Controlled Substance -Resisting a Peace Officer -Obstructing Identification His bond was set at $50,000. He is currently housed at the St. Clair County Jail due to want of bond.

This person attempted to gain entry into a coin operated machine in the parking lot of Handee Mart on 5/5/18 at approximately 315am. Caseyville Police Free Fishing Derby! Please bring the kids and come out this Saturday May 12th. Registration is at 9AM and the derby starts at 10AM. The derby will be held at the Caseyville Park. The event will be hosted by FLW Tournament Angler Rob Crane. Please come out and show your support for this free event!

Lebanon man charged with possession of methamphetamine and arrested on Felony warrant. On May 5, 2018, an officer of the Caseyville Police Department conducted a traffic stop on IL-157 at Sterling Place. During the stop, a male passenger was found to have a felony warrant for dangerous drugs. A search of the male subject showed him to be in possession of methamphetamine. On May 5, 2018, the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office charged Kurtis J Bolhofner, 29 of Lebanon, with Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 3 Felony. Bond was set at $20,000.

Public notice: Around 10:20 this evening, an officer of the Caseyville Police Department was parked near the intersection of Black Lane and Forest Blvd. Two vehicles traveling south on Black lane from State Park were traveling at a high rate of speed. One vehicle which was chasing the other was firing shots. Approximately 8 shots flew past the officer. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a older model silver in color sedan that turned around and fled back toward State Park. Officers made contact with the victim vehicle which had several bullet holes in it. No persons or officers were hurt in the incident. The incident is currently under investigation.

Caseyville couple charged after attempting to flee from a traffic stop and having possession of Fentanyl. On May 4, 2018, Officers of the Caseyville Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 8700 block of Parkdale. The vehicle refused to stop and continued westbound on Parkdale where it ultimately ran into a dead end. The vehicle attempted to drive past the dead end where it ended up in a ditch. Officers were able to remove the driver and passenger from the vehicle without further incident. A search of the vehicle showed several items of drug paraphernalia and approximately 30 Fentanyl pills. It was also determined the driver had and suspended license, two misdemeanor warrants and a felony warrant. The passenger also had a felony warrant. On May 5, 2018, the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office charged Roy E Trail, 26 of Caseyville with Possession of Controlled Substance, a Class 4 Felony, Driving on a Suspended License, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Fleeing and Eluding, a Class A Misdemeanor. Bond was set at $20,000. Kali P Korte, 23 of Caseyville, was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Class 4 Felony. Bond was set at $10,000.

Caseyville woman charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance. On April 12, 2018, an officer of the Caseyville Police Department conducted a traffic stop on IL-157 at E O’Fallon. During the stop, the female driver admitted to having Fentanyl and Oxycodone on her person. On April, 13, 2018, the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office charged Jami L Armstrong, 24 of Caseyville, with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, a Class 4 Felony. Bond was set at $20,000.

Pinckneyville man charged with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance. On April 24, 2018, and officer of the Caseyville Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Progress Ave. During the stop, drug paraphernalia and an amount of cocaine were located. On April 25, 2018, the St. Clair County State’s Attorney’s Office charged Scott A Barbeau, 53 of Pinckneyville, with Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, a Class 4 Felony. Bond was set at $20,000.
