This little female dog was found running loose in the roadway near Eastern Avenue and E. North Street at about 1:30 PM today. She does not have a chip, nor a tag indicating who her owner is, but if you should know who this dog belongs to please have them contact Manhattan Police by calling (815)478-3226 to arrange to pick her up from the station!

The Will County Chiefs Of Police Association is supporting the Wilmington Police Department's efforts to win a fully equipped Chevrolet Tahoe Police Vehicle which will be used for their K9 team Ofc. Hopper and K9 Mao. Mao was purchased for Wilmington PD by the Will County States Attorney in their efforts to combat the heroin epidemic in the Will County area. Wilmington PD is the only Will County agency in the final voting group for this specialized vehicle. Coffee With A Cop will take place this Wednesday, October 3rd from 5am to 9am at Kirby's Bakery located at 165 S. State St. near Trask Street. Come have some great coffee and conversation with some of Manhattan's Finest. We look forward to seeing you there!

In an effort to keep it that way we remind residents to make sure their garage doors are closed at night and any cars parked outside should be locked as well.
