Please note the route for the Homecoming Parade taking place this Friday. Parade begins at 4pm. Signs have been posted along the route for no parking after 3pm on Friday until the parade ends. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. Go Big Blue!

Homecoming 2018 Parade Route This year's Homecoming is on Friday, September 14th. Please see the route below. Parade will start at 4pm. Traffic along the route will be interrupted during the parade.

Due to planned road construction, the American Legion is cancelling the parade on Memorial Day this year. The intersection of Corning and Rt 50 will be closed at that time. Please see the attached map for the alternate traffic route for attending the Memorial Day service at the Peotone Cemetery. Parking is available in the subdivision on Wesley Dr or Hickory St and also on Corning east of Wesley. The service will begin promptly at 10:30am on May 28th. Thank you.

The village has specific ordinances for solicitors. Solicitors are required to apply for a permit. Approved solicitors will display the permit around their neck. Please report any solicitors not in compliance to the police by calling 708-258-3003. 117.05 WEARING OF BADGE; INSCRIPTION; EXHIBITING LICENSE. (A) Each licensee under this chapter shall be issued and shall wear conspicuously the license card issued by the Village Clerk. We have had several reports of this common scam in the past year. They are extremely convincing. Always be suspicious of anyone asking for money and/or information over the phone, in an email, or a letter.

Village vehicle renewal stickers will be available January-March 2018. All vehicles regularly parked or housed in the village are required to have vehicle stickers. Stickers are good for two years and renewal forms will be mailed in late December. New residents are required to purchase stickers within 30 days of residence. Please see the form on the village website for fee amounts and more information.

The American Legion will be collecting food during Christmas in the Village activities this Saturday, December 9th. Thanks for giving.

Here is the route for this years Lighted Parade on December 9th starting at 5pm. Traffic along the route will be interrupted during the parade. There will be a "No Parking" restriction ONLY on the east side of 2nd St along the route starting at 3pm.
