Celebrating Smart Girls and Brilliant Women of the Boys & Girls Club at the Grand Wayne Center. This year’s candidates for Smart Girl are: Laura Mudd, 10th grader from South Side HS, Desmond’s Thomas, 9th grader from South Side HS, Coren Paige, 12th grader from East Allen University and Myalee Hudson, 8th grader from Lakeside MS. The Brilliant Woman of the Year is Ginny Clark. Congratulations to all of them!

FWPD Director of Victim's Assistance, Jessica Crozier, Mayor Tom Henry, Chief Steve Reed, the choir from Memorial Park Middle School and many others from the community chose to Rise Up against Domestic Violence today as the Mayor proclaimed October as Domestic Violence Awareness month.

New bikes for the bike patrol! Thanks to Summit City Bicycle the FWPD purchased five new bikes to replace some of the older bikes which are more than 20 years old!

A very good evening with the community last night at the Weisser Park Youth Center. Thanks to the Allen County Prosecutor's Office, the FWPD Bomb Squad and the FWPD Air Support Unit for the Informative discussion and the demonstration of the drone unit.
