Well Heritage Days is upon us and that means travel around downtown will be affected. Beginning at 10pm Thursday night the inside of the square will be closed down. You will only be able to go north on Harrison/west on Jackson/east on Washington. At 5pm on Friday night access to the entire square will be shut down until Sunday evening. No parking will be allowed on either side of Harrison from Alley Drive to Grand Street at the same time. With everyone’s cooperation this will all work out fine. It’s time for our Surprising Little Town to shine for the 51st time.

Just a reminder the annual Hope Ride is this Saturday. While there are no official road closings for this event there will be hundreds of bicyclists on local roads. The town square and the area of the high school will be extremely congested. Please pay close attention so everyone will remain safe.

During the last thunderstorm that came through, The town's tornado siren was struck by lightning. During the test last friday, we found out or siren was not functioning. Due to this, Until further notice, If Hope is put under a tornado watch or warning, we along with Hope Fire Department will be going street to street with our High/Low sirens activated anouncing the watch or warning over our PA speakers.

Never forget
