The Jeffersonville Police Department had the privilege to host the future leaders of Leadership Southern Indiana for a station tour and K9 demonstration yesterday. Thank you for joining us!

Congratulations to Jeffersonville Police Department Chief Kenny Kavanaugh and graduating class of the 140th Administrative Officers Course at Southern Police Institute at the University of Louisville. The graduates of the Administrative Officers Course represent Commanders and Law Enforcement Executives from 36 agencies in 17 states from two countries (USA and Antigua & Barbuda). Southern Police Institute Administrative Officers Course consisted of 12 weeks of executive training in a multitude of topics and field study. Well done Chief, and again congratulations!!

Last night Mr. P Express pulled out of the Kroger Parking Lot with a fully loaded trailer of Hurricane Michael relief supplies. Nearly 38,000 bottles of water, 250 cases of diapers, and nearly 5000 pounds of other assorted personal hygiene items, will be delivered in Northwest Florida. The City of Jeffersonville and Clark County residents and businesses can not be thanked enough for their kindness and generosity for those in need. Jeffersonville Police Department and the Clark County Sheriff's Department would like to especially thank for making bulk water purchases: SK Signs, Kroger Co, Mr. P Express, John Jones Automotive Group, KFC, Jeffersonville FOP 100, City of Jeffersonville Mayors Office, K4 Security LLC, D and D facility Maintenance, Bennets Towing, Jacobi Sales and Service Sellersburg, Captain Dave Marble Jeffersonville Police Department. All items will be delivered to the affected area staging points this Wednesday.

The Jeffersonville and Clark County Community came together today in a big way and donated 8 full pallets of water, 2 full pallets of diapers and other personal hygiene, the trailer is almost 1/3 of the way full, even in the rain and cold our community came together to support others in need. We met a lot of wonderful, caring people today Reminder officers will be at the same location accepting donations from 10AM-8PM. Thank You to all who gave!!

For the next 3 days, officers with the Jeffersonville Police Department and Clark County Sheriff's Department will be collecting relief items for those recently affected by Hurricane Michael. Items accepted will be be water, personal hygiene products, diapers, etc... Kroger Co, located at 1027 Jeffersonville Commons, is assisting along with Mr. P Express Transportation Co. Many local businesses have inquired about purchasing items in bulk and a pallet of water, containing 84 cases, can be purchased at a for 225.96. A single case purchase donation will cost 2.69. All donations will go directly to victims in Bay County Florida, let's fill this trailer up!!!, come see us 10AM-0800 PM...Look for flashing lights...

The Jeffersonville Police Department along with the Clark County Sheriff's Dept, will be aiding in Hurricane Michael Relief efforts with partners Mr. P Express and Kroger Co. Victims of the recent hurricane in Northwest Florida will be in critical need of water and other items such as personal hygiene effects, soap, diapers etc. All items must be unopened in original container/packaging. Officers will be at the trailer to accept donations. Local businesses are encouraged to participate as well and may purchase water in bulk. Hours that items will be collected are this Fri/Sat/Sun from 10AM-8PM. Location will be in the Kroger Parking lot 1027 Jeffersonville Commons, just west of I265 in the City of Jeffersonville. The City of Jeffersonville and the Clark County communities are a very giving and caring people and we have no doubt that we will fill this trailer this weekend. Any donation no matter how small will help us help others. All items will be directly shipped to Bay County Florida for disbursement to the many local residents in need.
