Marengo Police Department seize counterfeit cash, handgun, Xanax, marijuana and scales.
On Saturday June 9th, Marengo One-Stop staff called 911 to report that someone was trying to pass counterfeit money for a purchase. Officers from the Marengo Police Department responded and identified Randal Eggers, 18 of English as having at least $140 in counterfeit currency. After investigation at the store and interview of staff, Eggers was placed in custody. Crawford County Sheriff deputy also assisted in the investigation and transport of Eggers to the Crawford County jail. Eggers was also found to be in possession of a 9mm handgun, Xanax, marijuana and digital scales. Eggers is being held on $10,000 bond.
