Upland Police Department News

As we approach Veteran’s Day, we want to take a moment to say thank you to all of those who have served our great country! Thank you for the sacrifices you have made to ensure our freedom. Come out and honor our service men and women today at the parade in Gas City.

Keep an eye out for this gentleman. If you see him or know his location contact the Grant County Sheriffs Department or nearest law enforcement agency.

Regarding the road closure last night of 700 East. https://fox59.com/2018/10/31/police-arrest-two-people-after-teen-stabbed-to-death-in-grant-county/

UPDATE: 700 East is now back open. Thank you for your understanding. 700 East from State Road 22 to 600 South will be closed for an unknown amount of time. We will advise when the road will be back open. Please avoid the area since traffic will not be permitted onto 700 East. Thank you.

Hey Medic 8! What kind of candy are you going to have this year?! Asking for a friend...

What costumes will we be seeing this year?

Hang on, it’s here

Are you enjoying the Fall day?

Awesome work. Thanks Upland Print & Stitch.

Happy Fall! As the leaves start to change and fall off the trees we want to remind everyone that the leaves will clog the storm drains and cause water to back up into yards and into the roads. We would like to ask for assistance in keeping the storm water flowing by asking for help with keeping storm drains clear of debris.

Come on down to the Farmer’s Market at the Depot Park for some fresh fruit and vegetables.

The Upland Police Department sent prayers to The Family and Friends of Officer David Tinsley in this tragic time. May God send his loving arms to embrace those in their healing.

Prayer to those who lost their lives on September 11,2001. Today, we continue to lose Americans from illnesses stemming from this disaster. 9/11 is truly never going to end for those suffering physically and mentally. God bless America.

Another rainy day. Will they get the Brickyard 400 in today?

Erin Davis contact the Upland Police Department for a door prize you won at Touch-A-Truck.

Who all came out for yesterday’s parade? What was your favorite float, organization or participant in the parade? Post the photos of your favorites in the comments below! Were you in the parade? Upload the photo of your group, vehicle, or float as well!

Welcome back to all the returning Taylor University students and welcome to all new students as well! We look forward to having you become a part of our community.

****New Scam***** Recorded phone messages are being received from a source claiming to be the Social Security office. Failure to return their calls will result in local law enforcement arresting you. Returning a call to the provided number activates a recording that the SCAMMER has recorded from the Social Security office. The recording will end and you will be disconnected. The SCAMMER now has your phone number on his Caller ID. A few minutes later, you will receive a call from the SCAMMER apologizing that he missed your call. DO NOT give personal information, credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or Social Security information out over the phone.

Avoid 600 South between 8th St and 800 East until AEP assist with removal of a tree that fell on power lines.
