Linton Police Department News

Our thoughts and Prayers are with you and your loved ones. A Poem we found author unknown. Fallen Comrade Taking cover... shots fired, then you hear that sound. The unmistakable crackle of the radio, the feared words...'Officer Down'. One more fallen comrade, the number continues to grow. Sorrow fills one's heart, trying not to let the anger show. Waging a daily battle, out there trying to win the war. Never knowing what you'll encounter, on this stop or from behind that next door. One more fallen comrade, is gone and out of our sight. Yet guiding us from up above, always riding on our right.

We like to send this out occasionally and remind everyone we are happy to be a safe exchange zone. The public is welcome to use our parking lot to exchange online purchases and make child custody exchanges.

A pair of childs glasses was turned into LPD. Reportedly found in the area of the Police Department.

This guy decided to serve his community service time handing out candy at LPD.

Some of our vistors tonight. Thank You to Trisha Blanton-Drogich for passing out the candy.

LPD’s Light will be on the 30th and 31st. We will have Treats for anyone wanting to stop by.

Here is a quick video about the Nixel Alert Program LPD uses to get information out to the public. I want to thank Bill Stearns for putting this together for us. https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fyoutu.be%2Fi-AkCn0wtHQ%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR0L9Bv7-vBKfQAWzNlIzolOoAACpN_G89oCbaA_v2vso9Kk9FKu2gUXqG8&h=AT31iARNGDG6ZZ1ypZbOoTKLqFW0OuTV-hGC2LOhdNjzbGtkgoQNO90IUHdI0_dmX40YMEIRbDeR_yJoKQsbqe9POLLixA4YvzQUECZ6bNPaTvT1-bBk5Hg7znKpsjZnOBpL
