Cops and Kids Event Strives to Serve More Families Cops and Kids serves children in Fishers during the Holiday Season and throughout the year as needed. We are seeking monetary donations in order to continue providing for those in need. Tax deductible donations can be mailed to or dropped off at the Fishers Police Department, 4 Municipal Drive, Fishers, Indiana 46038. Checks should be made out to the Fishers Police Foundation. Please write Cops and Kids in the memo line of the check to ensure it is allocated properly. Last year we were able to assist 32 children during the Holiday Season as well as many additional families throughout the year. Providing food, clothing, and monetary assistance are just a few of the ways this program improves the lives of those in need. We would like to expand this program, but we need your help. Please consider partnering with us to help those less fortunate. For further information please email Officer Alicia Ahnert and Officer Tracy Jones at

The 35th Session of the Fishers Police Department's Citizens Academy graduated last evening. They learned from a variety off Officers/Instructors about why we do the things that we do. This class opened the minds of the participants as to the amount of multi-tasking and stress associated with being a police officer. We hope to see you in the next class that begins in late February 2019. To apply visit For questions, email Officers Rob Thompson or Chris Owens.,

Students from Lantern Rd. Elementary visited the police department today. The children learned about gun safety and even had the opportunity to check out the inside of a police cruiser.

Feel free to stop into the lobby of the Police Department and see our first historical exhibit. A collection of handcuffs from the 1800's to the present shows the evolution of handcuff design. Also on display is the first breathalyzer invented in 1954 and a police lantern from the 1870's along with a few others. More historical items and exhibits will be added as we expand the project.

Our last High Five Friday was spent at New Britton Elementary School. It was a little chilly, but our Officers and the students really enjoyed it.

This year officers from FPD are participating in No Shave November with hopes of bringing awareness to men's health and in support of Officer Binh Dennis and his family. Here are some "before" pics. Please follow us to see Binh's progress.
