Whiteland Police Department and Whiteland Fire Department put on a mock DUI crash scene at the Whiteland High School as part of prom week. We want to remind everyone to never drink and drive. From all of us... we wish you a safe and unforgettable prom experience this weekend!

Stay home if you don’t have to be out. Slide offs and accidents all around.

Everyone please welcome Kenny Polley to our team.

Around 9pm tonight Whiteland Police Officers along with Franklin PD, Johnson County Sheriff’s Deputies, Shelby County Deputies assisted New Whiteland PD with a vehicle pursuit through Johnson and Shelby Counties. The suspect was apprehended through tremendous teamwork and communication between all departments involved and nobody was injured.

Make sure to bring your pets inside tonight and bundle up the kids in the morning. Wind chill will be between -15 to -25 degrees. Clark Pleasant Schools are all on 2 hr delay 1/5/18 due to the cold.

***NOTICE*** We have been made aware that the Millstone subdivision is without power at this time. Attempts to contact the power company have been unsuccessful. We are opening up the Town Hall for residents to stay warm. Please, don't wait it out and come stay warm!! Reminder, town hall is located at 549 Main Street!!

The Whiteland Church Of Christ had a service honoring local law enforcement this past Sunday. Whiteland Police Chief Rick Shipp, Sgt. Jason Davis, and Johnson County Sheriff Deputy David Lucid attended. Great sermon. Thanks to all who prayed and continue to pray for our LEO's safety.

Congratulations to our own Officer Scott Doss. He will graduate from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in a couple hours now. Scott will soon be back to join us in protecting and serving our citizens. Congratulations Scott!!!

Thank you to our friends from Victory Baptist Church for the cupcakes, cards and words of encouragement.
