This year Wolcottville Trick or Treat will be on October 31st from 5:30p-7:30p

On 07/08 around the time of 5:27pm Wolcottville Police conducted a traffic stop in the area of 800 S. and 200 E. During the investigation of the traffic stop a Wolcottville Officer located alleged methamphetamine as well as a alleged rifle modified to be fully automatic with several hundred rounds of rifle rounds inside the vehicle. Arrested was a Angel Coria Cortez, male from Ligonier for the following alleged charges. Possession of methamphetamine -level 4 felony Possession of paraphernalia -Misdemeanor OWI prior conviction- Felony Other possible chargers are pending due to further investigation of the arrest. All suspects are Innocent until proven guilty

On Sunday June 24th Wolcottville Police conducted a drug interdiction stop in the area of State Road 9 just south of Wolcottville. During the investigation of that stop Wolcottville Police seized a significantly large amount of alleged crystal methamphetamine. Arrested was a Robert Fugate 40 of Wolcottville. Assisting in this detail was Lagrange County Sheriffs Department, Noble County Sheriffs department, Lagrange Marshals Office, Rome City Marshals Office, Indiana State Police and the Ligonier Police K9 . Fugate was arrested and booked into Noble County jail for the following charges: Dealing in methamphetamine Level 2 Felony Possession of methamphetamine Level 3 Felony Resisting Law Enforcement A Misdemeanor Possession of marijuana B Misdemeanor

ON JUNE 6TH AT 6:50PM OFFICER'S WITH THE WOLCOTTVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT RESPONDED TO A SINGLE VEHICLE CRASH AT 800 SOUTH AND 00EW. OFFICER'S ARRIVED TO A VEHICLE THAT HAD CRASHED INTO A TELEPHONE POLE JUST EAST OF THE INTERSECTION. DURING THE CRASH INVESTIGATION THE FEMALE PASSENGER, MICHAELA N SNYDER, ADMITTED TO HAVING METHAMPHETAMINE AND PARAPHERNALIA IN THE VEHICLE. AFTER THE DRIVER AND SNYDER WERE CLEARED BY MEDICAL SERVICES, SNYDER WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AND BOOKED INTO THE LAGRANGE COUNTY JAIL FOR THE BELOW CHARGES: POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE- LEVEL 5 FELONY POSSESSION OF PARAPHERNALIA- CLASS A MISD. ALL PARTIES INVOLVED ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.

Members of the Wolcottville Police Department attended the Memorial Service at Howe Military on Thursday. Thanks for all you do to remember fallen officers in our area.

The Wolcottville Police would like to thank Jerry Raber for his generosity and service with the fund raisers this weekend at Rabers grocery!! It was an awesome turn out! The money raised will go towards the K9 Department and Officer Training fund. Thanks for all that helped everything went great!

SAFETY DAYS AT WOLCOTT MILLS ELEMENTARY.

Officer Garab is spending some good time going over bicycle safety with kids today at Wolcott mills safety day program. Several other emergency service members are also present today at the school.

Tonight at the town council meeting 2 of Wolcottville’s Police Officers received life saving awards for their initiative and actions that resulted in saving a persons life . With the actions and capability’s of these Officers they are definitely appreciated for their acts of service in 2 separate events within the past 2 months. I would like to recognize Sgt Nathan Sprunger and Officer Donald Garab Jr. for their act.

Just a reminder Lakeland schools are scheduled for a 2-hr delay for tomorrow.
