The main targets were unlocked vehicles. In one case the suspects used the garage door opener from the unlocked vehicle and opened the overhead door alarming the homeowner. The alert homeowner called 911 and (3) patrol vehicles that were nearby arrived and located the suspects still in the neighborhood. The suspect fled in a white KIA with Illinois plates with the officers in pursuit. The vehicle drove off the roadway while fleeing. The officers pursued the vehicle into Illinois.
