On October 26th, 2018, Speedway Police Department responded to 109 Gasoline Alley on a report of a hit and run crash. The caller saw a white Dodge Ram Pickup with Indiana plates traveling southbound on Gasoline Alley. The truck lost control, left the road, and struck the fence at the south side of a business property. The caller stated that two other men in a red Dodge Dakota pickup assisted the driver of the Ram. Both vehicles then fled the scene. The driver of the Ram is approximately a 25 year old white male with glasses and stood approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall. The two men in the Dakota were white males and one was wearing a green shirt. This morning officers were dispatched to check a running vehicle in the 5800 block of Crawfordsville Rd. Officers located a silver Chevrolet Cruze with a male victim, that had suffered apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased at 4:14 am. @cicrimestoppers

Last night officers were conducting an investigation in the 5900 block of West 25th Street that resulted in an officer involved shooting. The suspect was transported to Eskenazi Hospital as a result of a gunshot wound. The officer was uninjured. This is an ongoing investigation.
