From the Desk of City Police Chief Stu Hamblen: As the start of school quickly approaches there are a couple of items that need to be addressed. School Crossing Guard locations are listed below. Please note one change. The Crossing Guard that used to sit on the south side of E. Maumee at Yoder Fuller Ford will now be stationed on the north side of the road just east of Clyde Ave. If you have students that regularly cross there, please make sure they are aware of this change. Also, please make sure that you have mapped out a new route with your student that does not include them walking or riding their bikes in the construction zone. Crossing Guard locations are as follows: • Prospect St. & South Wayne • Mill St. & North Wayne • East side of Williams St. at Carlin Park • North Side of E. Maumee at Clyde Ave. There seems to be some confusion as to what can happen at the E. Maumee/Clyde Avenue barricades. If you are coming from the East and want to get to Speedway or Yoder Fuller Ford, you may, if the workers are not in your path, go around the barricades to access those businesses. You may only go around the barricades to access those businesses. You are not allowed to go around the barricades from E. Maumee just to get to Clyde Ave. or vice versa. The City and State Police will be actively enforcing this. The safety of our students and the workers on this project are of the upmost importance. We understand that the traffic on Calvary Lane and Mechanic Street has increased and will continue to increase when school is back in session. Please know, there will be added speed enforcement on these streets during the early morning and midafternoon hours. The first student day for MSD is August 15th. Remember to be safe and allow for extra time during your morning commute.

Information from REMC about an upcoming power outage that affects part of the City of Angola NE section. If you live in the advised locations, please take note. Calling the police department about this should be avoided to keep phone lines open for citizens in need of another service. Thank you.

Thanks to a Facebook post shared by a local citizen accompanied with excellent surveillance video, a suspect was arrested and charged with unauthorized entry of a vehicle, felony theft and intimidation. Please contact your local agency if you believe you have recently been a victim of theft, but have yet to report the incident. The Angola Police Department is working diligently in order to deter these types of offenses in our community.

Last week we posted a black and white image of a subject and requested your assistance identifying the individual. We followed up on many leads with negative results. We are hoping this colored image of the same subject might be a better tool in identifying the individual. Please call (260)665-2121 or message our page with any information concerning the individual.

**ANGOLA HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION** AHS graduation parking will be at AHS, AMS, & Ryan Park parking lot. No parking on the grass. Busses will transport people to AHS gym.

The Angola Police Department would appreciate assistance identifying any of the three subjects pictured below who fled the location of the offense in a green, older model possible Chevrolet Trailblazer or GMC Jimmy.
