Another *****Scam Alert***** We received another scam alert from a citizen today advising that she has been getting calls from "safelite" which is an auto glass repair company. They advised her they have an open claim and are needing to get an appointment set up. The caller stated they had her vehicle make, model and year. She checked with her insurance company who advised her they have no open claims. The caller also checked with the safelite company and they told her their Lawrence Office is no longer open so they wouldn't be calling from the number she provided. We are unsure what their ultimate goal is with this scam. Please use caution when talking to anyone on the phone. Don't give any information before confirming it is a legitimate situation. They are trying all different things to get money out of people. Don't be afraid to tell them you need to confirm things before you give ANY personal information.
