PLEASE dial 511 for latest road conditions in your area before driving! ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 PM CST THURSDAY... * WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches with local amounts to 5 inches expected. * WHERE...Portions of north central Kansas and south central Nebraska. * WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 6 PM CST Thursday. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning and evening commute. Winds will be light through the event, which will limit the threat for blowing and drifting snow. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will cause primarily travel difficulties. --Attention Osborne and surrounding areas-- * Flood Warning for The South Fork Solomon Near Osborne. * Flood warning is in effect until Thursday.... * At 6:30 PM Tuesday the stage was 12.5 feet. * Flood stage is 14.0 feet. * Minor flooding is forecast. * Forecast...Rise above flood stage early Wednesday morning and rise to near 14.3 feet by Wednesday afternoon. The river will fall below flood stage Wednesday evening. * At 14.0 feet...The north bank overflows. At 15 feet, the south bank overflows and the city golf course begins to flood.

**Update: Sebastian, the sweet giant, has returned home. Thank you everyone.** We have a very sweet visitor at the Office this morning. He seems to be sad about not being home on this chilly/foggy morning. If he is yours, please give us a call 785-346-2001. The dispatcher isn't allowed to adopt any more dogs!

****Update: we have been advised that Sable has been located!**** We are looking for this dog. She was last seen on Highway 281 and W. 180th Drive south of Osborne. She's a pomeranian/pinscher mix named Sable. She is reddish brown in color with a blonde tail. She's got a pink collar on. If you find her, give us a shout at 785-346-2001 so we can get her back to her family.

**Edit** Owner located. (I guess just enjoy this picture of a nice dog.) If you know the owner of this gentleman, he is currently hanging out with us at the Sheriff's Office. (No charges pending) He's a brown lab, with an orange collar. He's an intact male. We let him out to do his business and he's back inside with us.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Sedgwick County Sheriff Office and all who are impacted by the OIS today in Western Sedgwick County.

If you haven't been over to the Natoma Labor Day Celebration yet, make sure you do. Sheriff Miner, Under Sheriff Becker, Deputy Betzold and Deputy Stokes are there; make sure to stop and say hello while enjoying the activities. During the parade Deputy Stokes was a hit from our newly acquired Rescue Vehicle!

There are some reports of power outages in Osborne. North of Main street and west of 1st Street. The Osborne City crew is out rectifying the problem right now.
