Some of our officers spent this morning hanging out with students from Turner Elementary and Oak Grove.

This afternoon several of our officers made a trip down to Hellraiser's Fabrication & Cycles LLC in Belton Missouri. They recently did some work on Captain Robert "Dave" Melton's motorcycle. Captain Melton’s son just completed the necessary classes to achieve his motorcycle license. His dad’s best friend M/Sgt. Allen, thought it would be nice to have some kind of customized memorial to his father painted on the bike. That’s when Kickstand, the owner of Hellraiser’s, stepped up and provided some great meaningful customization. This afternoon, the memorialized bike was presented to the Captain’s son. Kickstand even created a larger monument made out of motorcycle parts. The monument was also presented this afternoon.

News Release for tonight’s shooting and the related pursuit.
