We have received reports of more attempted scams. People have gotten phone calls from the number 509-317-9856. The caller claims that you have fees or fines that must be paid over the phone or you will be arrested. In a second scam, people are receiving friend requests from fake profiles who appear to be someone they are already friends with. These fake profiles are then sending messages claiming you can receive $150,000 from the Department or Compensation by sending a text with your information. Please be aware of these possible scams and remember to never give your personal information to anyone you do not know over the phone.
