Deputies arrested a lot of people today, but it was for a good cause. Big thanks to all the deputies that helped out and to the reserve deputies for taking time out of their day to help.

We want to wish the Murray Rockets from Murray-Calloway Special Olympics good luck as they travel to Louisville, KY to participate in the regional flag football tournament this weekend.

FYI: The city of Murray will be testing the tornado sirens tomorrow morning at 9 am. It will only be a test.

PUBLIC NOTICE It’s Tax Time! Calloway County property tax bills are being sent out on Friday, October 12th, 2018. The bills are due as usual by December 31, 2018 without penalty, and you will receive a 2% discount if you pay your bill by November 15, 2018. There are several ways to pay your property tax bill: 1. Pay at the sheriff’s Office 2. Mail a check or money order to the Sheriff’s Office 3. Use our convenient drop box at the west end of the building 4. Pay online at beginning Monday, October 15th.

A big thank you to Food Giant and Kroger in Murray for donating lunch for our deputies during firearms qualification today. Continued support from our local businesses reminds us how fortunate we are to serve such a wonderful community.

The Sheriff's Office is requesting the public's assistance in a theft investigation. Sometime last night a truck, trailer and 2 Zero Turn mowers were taken from McKeel Equipment on US 641 South. The truck has McKeel Equipment on the doors and the number 78 on the sides and rear. Anyone with any information is asked to call 270-753-3151 or their local Law Enforcement.
