Pursuant to KRS 134.215, for the period of January 1, 2015 through January 15, 2015, the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office will not be accepting any ad valorem tax (property tax) payments. This time period is for the purpose of establishing an accurate accounting for the unpaid and partially paid tax claims of the outgoing Sheriff. No additional interest will be assessed or collected from the taxpayer during this time period for which payment of taxes is prohibited. Regular tax collections will resume on January 16, 2015.

The Campbell County Sheriff's Office WILL be open tomorrow 12/31/2014( New Years Eve) normal business hours 8am-4pm.

Our tax bills will be sent out October 30th 2014. 1st day of collection will be November 3rd 2014. 11/1/14-11/30/14- 2% Discount Amount 12/1/14-12/31/14- Face amount (no discount, but no fee) 1/1/15-1/31/15- 5% fee 2/1/15-4/15/15- 15% fee *NO POSTMARKS ON THIS DATE* After 4/15 they are payable to the county clerk. You can pay your tax bill at Newport or Alexandria M-F (NO SATURDAYS) 8am-4pm and all citizens bank branches in Campbell Co including on Saturdays. Cash and Check accepted along with Credit (no discover cards) with a 2.49% convenience fee. Citizens bank is ONLY cash or check.

Phone Scam Alert *phone scam alert* There have been reports today and people coming into the Campbell County Sheriff's Office concerning phone calls received about jury duty. The suspect states his name is Deputy Allen with the Campbell County Sheriff's Office and advises the victims that they owe $500 for missing jury duty. Suspect references Case # 1681-B. Suspect goes on to say he needs a $500 Green Dot Money Pack card or card number. Please contact the Campbell County Sheriff's Office with any questions. Campbell County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a Tax Clerk. Responsibilities include providing general clerical assistance to the Sheriff’s Office, greeting customers, answering phones, taking tax payments, and balancing money drawers. The successful candidate must have High School Diploma or equivalent; plus one (1) year of clerical, receptionist and/or administrative office support experience. Prior experience in customer service and money transactions preferred. This is a part time position (up to 3 days per week) with the salary range based on experience.
