CC911: Burns Ave from Washington to Broadway is now open per WMU

CC911:Burns Ave from Washington to Broadway will be closed by WMU due to street repairs, will notify when reopened.

The Winchester Police Department is seeking information on the individual in the photograph operating the white Lincoln centered in the parking lot. The Police Department is seeking information in relation to individual using quick change techniques at local businesses on the Bypass.

CC911:W Washington St from Spring St to Upper St will be closed for approx 1 hr by WMU due to street repairs.

CC911:CSX Railroad Closures-ALL WEEK-Bybee Rd/Two Mile Rd intersection to tracks and Cole Rd tracks due to repairs.Will advise when back open.

CSX Railroad Crossing Closed at Flanagan Station and Cole Rd starting at 6am Monday Oct 1 through Oct 5 due to repairs. We will advise when back open.

The attached video is in reference to the request for information Facebook post concerning a stolen excavator from Church Alley in the early morning hours of 9-15-18. The video shows a white Ford utility type truck and trailer taking the stolen excavator. Anyone with information concerning this theft please contact the Winchester Police Department at (859) 355-7458. Thank you.

CC911:Reports of high water on Colby Rd near Venable Rd/Combs Ferry Rd. Flooded roads could have significant damage hidden by floodwaters. NEVER drive through floodwaters or on flooded roads. If your vehicle stalls, leave it immediately and seek higher ground. Water only two feet deep can float away most automobiles.

CC911: North Burns will be closed from West Broadway to West Washington for repairs by WMU until 7PM tonight.

The Winchester Police Department is investigating the theft of a Yanmar excavator over the weekend. The excavator was last seen Friday 9-14-18 in Church Alley between Broadway and Lexington Avenue. It was discovered stolen Monday morning. The excavator seen in the photo below is similar to the one stolen. A witness observed someone load the excavator on a trailer and travel down Church Alley to the intersection of Church and Broadway around 2-3AM early Sunday morning. Congratulations to our very own 2018 Kentucky Emergency Number Association Dispatch Supervisor of the YEAR - Rhonda Rogers!! Rhonda has tirelessly and selflessly served the Winchester Police Department and citizens of Winchester for over 32 years!! Rhonda was honored with this award last week at our annual Kentucky Emergency Services Conference in Louisville!! We have known for years that she is the BEST supervisor in KENTUCKY - Now it is official!! We are so Proud to call her OURS!!

The Winchester Police Department needs your help in locating a Megan Deshay Griffin. She is a 22 year old Caucasian female with red hair and has a tattoo of the word "Blessed" across her throat. Megan is considered endangered and needs immediate medical attention. Please contact the Winchester Police Department if you know Megan's whereabouts or have seen her this morning, 8/10/18.
