In light of all the recent tragedies that have occurred. The Williamstown Police Department would like to remind everyone of school bus safety. If you see a school bus please do not be in a hurry. And if you decide to break the law, we will write you a ticket and it’s not a very good ticket to have on your record.

Do you recognize the silver RAV4 or the trash cans with the addresses on them? Do you recognize maybe the clothes or the body type of the individuals in the pictures? There are no words but only thoughts and prayers for the families of these officers in Florence South Carolina.

We like to inform everyone that the lake will be closed to all boat and jet skis from dawn till 1 o’clock on Saturday the 15 of September 2018. This is to accommodate the annual veterans fishing tournament.

The Williamstown Police Dept. would like to ask everyone out there please do not drive intoxicated. This accident occurred on Helton Road, the road that runs to the school, the night before the first day of school. Kenton county also had an intoxicated driver hit a school bus that had children on it. This accident involved an intoxicated driver that slammed his vehicle into a foot bridge that is the sidewalk that goes to the school for many children. The driver was cited with leaving the scene of the accident, no drivers license, DUI and no insurance. Please find a sober driver and be responsible.

The Williamstown Police Dept. would like to remind the citizens of Williamstown, that today is the first day of Williamstown elementary, middle and high school. If you do not have to be on Helton Road between the hours of 7 to 815, we would advise to stay off of it, due to the heavy amount of traffic that will be there. And if you do have to be on Helton Road, please take your time and be very careful, kids will be everywhere.

Hey everybody the Williamstown schools like you let you know there’s some new guidelines for tomorrow morning. We know tomorrow’s going to be a crazy morning and it’s going to be a lot of kids running around, so please be careful and We want everyone to have a great first day of school. We would also like to ask that you please share this on your page so that we can get this information out to all students staff and parents.

Everyone please be advised there’s going to be a rolling roadblock both north and southbound on I 75 from Corinth to Crittenden to Corinth until the powerlines can get stretched across at the 154. Our suggestion would be to divert and take 25 if you’re going north or south from the middle of the county.
