National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day at Towne Mall Kroger from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. Kroger Pharmacy and Hardin County Sheriff’s Office in partnership providing this service today. If you didn’t make it by Kroger today, you can drop off unwanted prescription drugs Monday-Friday between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm at the Sheriff’s Office.

The HOUDINI window decals have been a tremendous success and the proceeds has greatly benefited the Hardin County Animal Shelter Houdini Fund. Thanks again for your generosity. BUCKLE UP HARDIN COUNTY!

TRAFFIC ADVISORY! US 31W in Radcliff US 31W has traffic running back on normal lanes near Centennial Avenue. Wednesday through Friday, one southbound lane will be closed (9am to 3pm each day) as contract crews build the new turning lane into Centennial Avenue. Short delays will be possible during this time. Motorists should reduce speed and be aware of signage upon approaching the work zone.

Please keep Deputy Morales of the Scott County Sheriff’s Office in your prayers. Deputy Morales was shot and critically wounded while attempting to apprehend a fugitive last night.

ARRESTED AND LODGED IN THE HARDIN COUNTY JAIL! Thank you Hardin County for all of your assistance. Hardin County we need your help identifying this person. He is a person of interest in the theft of a Zero Turn Mower on Pierce Mill road area of Big Clifty.

ATTENTION HARDIN COUNTY! Traffic Advisory - I65 Northbound in Hardin County near Elizabethtown Crews will be working on bridges beginning Monday morning along I65 through the widening construction zone. Northbound lane closures will be set out at Milepoints 83 and 91 around 7am (Eastern). Motorists should slow down, pay close attention to signs and be prepared for slow or stopped traffic ahead upon approaching the area. Lane closures will shift as work progresses. Work should be complete and lane closures removed by late morning.

Scam Alert! We have received reports of local businesses being contacted to sell calendar ads for a local fire department. The call was made from an 859 area code and someone stopped by the business with what appeared to be a fictitious letter. Please investigate before you distribute funds in order to determine the validity of these requests. The majority of these contacts are valid but please exercise due diligence in reviewing all materials.
