This is an informative post to all drivers within the city limits of Wilmore. We have received numerous complaints regarding speeding within the city limits of Wilmore. Based on these complaints I have instructed the officers to ramp up their enforcement activity to include not only speeding violations but all moving violations. This activity is not restricted to any one area of the city but is city wide. In making this post I am hoping that all drivers behave in a responsible manner and obey all traffic laws, not only for their own personal safety but the safety of all concerned. William E. Craig Chief of Police Wilmore Police Department

There is a lady driving a small red car canvassing neighborhoods saying she was just in an accident and needs to borrow money for gas. It is a scam.

A shout out to Erin Gibson of Solomon's Porch Cafe for hosting Coffee with a Cop this morning! A great community outreach and chance to interact with citizens. A special thanks to Wilmore City Councilman Jim Brumfield and State Representative Kim King for stopping by to share a cup with us.

BE AWARE...there is a scam currently circulating regarding KENTUCKY UTILITIES. They are phoning to say your power services will be cut off without immediate payment. If you have paid your bill they are asking for a "partial payment" of your next bill to stop the disconnection process. Please DO NOT fall for this scam. It sounds VERY convincing. The phone numbers associated are: 888-361-3502 or 608-721-3580. Do not return calls to these numbers. IF you need to confirm your bill is current please call KU directly at 800-331-7370

Thanks for stopping by🇺🇸👮

We at the Wilmore Police Department are urging folks to only venture out if necessary. Road crews are working diligently to clear the city streets but they are still slick and snow covered in some areas. Grab a good book and a cup of hot tea and just enjoy old man winter.

When the weather gets tough the tough get going. Two of Wilmore’s finest.

Proud of Wilmore Police Officer Ramon Torres for receiving the Governor's 2017 Impaired Driver's Award for aiding in the reduction of DUI related traffic crashes in the Commonwealth. Job well done. 🇺🇸👮

To all Jessamine County residents and surrounding counties and cities.......Please be advised that the area adjacent to Hwy 68 that has been proposed for the new golf course is located within the city limits of Wilmore and Wilmore City Ordinance prohibits the hunting and the discharging of firearms within the city limits. Wilmore Police Department will be working with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife to strictly enforce this ordinance. If you, or you know of someone that has been hunting in this area please advise them to not do so anymore. This is adjacent to a residential area and safety is of the main concern. Thank You and have a great Thanksgiving.
