The Logan County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a report of “needles” found in Halloween candy. The reporting party alleges that two needles were found in a “fun size” snickers bar that was possibly obtained in the Russellville City Limits area. If your child still has Halloween candy, please check it thoroughly.

We would like to express our sincere condolences to Sgt. Clint Wright. This morning he lost his former partner and best friend, Astor. Astor was a retired K9 for the Logan County Sheriff’s Office. Astor served beside Sgt. Wright for 8 years. Sgt. Wright was able to adopt Astor after his retirement, where he has spent his remaining years. RIP Astor

Savannah Hinton, missing juvenile, turned 18 years of age today. Ms. Hinton turned herself in, just minutes earlier, to BGPD. The Logan County Sheriff’s Department has closed its case on Ms. Hinton and she is no longer considered a missing person/runaway juvenile.
