Exit 95 Redesign to be bid in January 2019
October 18, 2018 (Richmond, KY) – Madison County Judge Executive Reagan Taylor is pleased to announce that the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has finalized arrangements to bid the Exit 95 Interstate Exchange project in January 2019.
“Since elected, I have been wearing the Transportation Cabinet staff out about the importance of getting this interstate exchange repaired,” said Judge Executive Reagan Taylor. “This is a critical location for commerce, economic development, residential and educational infrastructure for our County. This poorly designed exchange has been an impediment to our economic success for almost a decade.”
At the invite of the Shiloh Pointe and Shiloh Crest Homeowner’s Association, the Transportation Cabinet announced the plans to move the intersection of Colonel Road and Simpson Lane approximately 800 feet east of the current road location. There will be new signals installed at the intersection.
“We have a long road ahead of us as it relates to construction, but I am pleased with the support from our state legislative delegation and the Transportation Cabinet in getting this project moving.”
According to the Transportation Cabinet, the project will go to bid in January 2019 and is estimated to take a year and a half to complete. The estimated cost of the project will be $10,400,000.
Madison County will continue to update citizens as information becomes available.
