A section of Woodlawn Road will be closed while we clear and accident. You can get around it by going Filiatreau Lane and Parkway Drive respectively.
Notable Weekend Activity: 10-26-18 @ approximately 2100 Deputy Brandon Bryan served a felony theft warrant on Gerald Newton. During the arrest Deputy Bryan was able to follow up on the theft case and recover several thousand dollars worth of stolen property. 10-27-18 @ approximately 2330 Deputies were dispatched to an address on Raisor Ave in Bardstown to assist EMS. EMS/Deputies were there do to a case of alcohol poising in a juvenile. After the juvenile was taken to the hospital, Sgt. Pineiroa and Deputy Brandon Bryan continued to investigate the incident. The investigation was concluded with the arrest of Ricky Nelson, 34 of Bardstown. Mr. Nelson is accused of provided alcohol for two juvenile females. Charges included: Unlawful Transaction with a Minor 3rd Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor (2 counts of each).
The Nelson County sheriffs department just worked a collision involving a school bus in the 500 block of Greer Lane. No injuries were reported and the children are already back on their way to school.

****Scam Alert**** Reports are coming in about a mega millions scam. A male subject by the name of “Bill Lowe” has been calling Nelson County Residents. The scammer is trying to get victims to open a bank account and deposit money in his name. The phone number has been reported from an 818 area code. Please DO NOT give any personal information or account information to potential scammers.
Mr Howard has turned himself in and is currently incarcerated in the Nelson County Jail again.

Deputy Josh Greenwell was involved in a vehicle collision this afternoon on KY 245. He is home and doing well. Our thoughts go out to the other people involved in the collision and we wish them a speedy recovery. Thanks to the Bardstown Police Department for working the collision and thank you to the citizens who have reached out in concern.

09/10/2018 1315 Deputy Dalton Pinkston conducted a traffic stop for failure to wear seat belt. During the stop, Deputy Pinkston observed suspicious behavior from the operator of the vehicle. During the course of the stop Deputy Pinkston arrested the individual and he along with Deputy Jerry Hardin and K-9 Willy searched the vehicle. The search of the vehicle revealed multiple bags of suspected narcotics and money hidden in the vehicle. Arrested: Brandon Stivers of Bardstown KY

09/08/2018 Sgt. Ramon Pineiroa observed a subject driving in Bloomfield that he knew to have warrants out for his arrest. After stopping the vehicle and taking the individual into custody, along with a passenger, Sgt. Pineiroa conducted a search of the vehicle which lead to felony level drug charges on the driver.
