NEW RECORD BLUE CATFISH -- 106.9-pounder Congratulations to Glynn Grogan on reeling in this whopper using a mooneye (bait fish) in the Walter Hayes Memorial Catfish Tournament on the Ohio River. Grogan transports farm-raised fish for stocking private ponds, but one of his loves is recreational catfishing. He made the catch of a lifetime with this one! Tips for handling big fish for catch-and-release: *Wet hands before handling and touch as little as possible to protect the fish's protective mucous coating *Support the fish's body underneath *Don’t touch gills *Gently return the fish to the water ASAP Kentucky state record & trophy fish programs: https://go.usa.gov/xPQGR Western Kentucky Fisheries #FishKY #myKYoutdoors
