This evening, Officer M. Caronna and Officer B. Gensler attended the “Pie an RA” event at the Pentagon. Students who donated $1.00 got to pie a Resident Assistant. Officer Caronna was nice enough to take a 🥧 to the face for a good cause! And Officer Gensler was excited to be the one to give him the 🥧! 🤣😩 Proceeds for this event will go to The Children’s Hospital.

The LSU Police Department had a very special guest all the way from Minnesota! Kellen and his mom are in town for the big game tomorrow and they stopped by the Police Department so Kellen could meet Officers and ask questions about our job responsibilities. Kellen is the nephew of Alyssa Jacobs, who works with the LSU Student Advocacy & Accountability Department. Kellen is very knowledgeable about the radios that we use and knows a lot about handcuffs. Officer L. Evans showed Kellen her Smith & Wesson handcuffs and the other tools that she and other Officers wear on their duty belts. She also showed him how the radio inside the police unit operates. Officer Schiebe showed Kellen where he keeps his equipment on his motorcycle and showed him how the radio operates on his helmet. He also showed Kellen the radar gun and how it’s used to detect a person that is speeding. Thank you for stopping by the Police Department and visiting with our Officers! Enjoy the game tomorrow and GEAUX 🐯!!!!

Yesterday evening, the LSU Police Department hosted “Coffee With A Cop” at the LSU Student Union. Lieutenant R. Berry, Sergeant E. Berger, Officer K. Bass, Officer D. Hanson, and Officer B. Gensler were available for students to ask questions about our responsibilities and what we do to help keep our community safe. We had a great turn out and look forward to the next “Coffee With A Cop”! A big thank you to CC’s Coffee for providing the ☕️ and condiments to help make this a success!
