Dear Residents of Winnsboro and Surrounding Area; Tomorrow, Saturday March 17, we are celebrating “St. Patrick's Day” with a Trash Bash. This is in preparation for the District Cleanest City Contest that will be the first week of April. LOCATION: The Gazebo TIME: 8 a.m. PARKING: By gazebo on Hwy 15 side Parking lot behind City Hall Parking lot on S side of Police Station BE CAREFUL CROSSING THE HIGHWAY TASK: Clean the Garden District from Pine Street to Adams Street Trash bags and some safety vests will be provided- so bring your gloves and grabbers!!!! TRASH DEPOSIT: Methodist Parking lot Behind the Princess in Lot YES! TRASH BAGS WILL BE PICKED UP SATURDAY!!!!! There had been assignments discussed weeks ago, but with Spring Break, 5-K run, tournament dates changed, etc., we will just make assignments at the gazebo Thank you for your cooperation- and the clean-up is not over; it has just begun, Naomi Cordill and Martha Burnside, Co-Chairs of the Cleanest City Contest for the sponsoring Garden Gate Study Club, member of the LA Garden Club Federation

#Attention: There are sandbags available for low lying areas in a few convenient places in the city. There are a limit of 25 bags. Locations are behind City Hall, Westside Park and on the corner of Harvard and Blanson St. @ BJ's The Parish has also made some available at the Franklin Parish pavilion Highway 15 North.
