NOTICE Plaquemine High School’s Homecoming Parade will be Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 5 p.m. The parade will start at Plaquemine High School and proceed to Sherwood. At Sebestian Street the parade will turn onto Belleview Road again and end at Plaquemine High School. Please consider using alternate routes (Bayou Road, Hwy 3066 or Court Street) to help ease traffic congestion on the Belleview. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

According to Sheriff Brett Stassi, narcotic agents with the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Shareef Wicks DOB 6/3/98, of 58619 Allen Street, Plaquemine, for possession of Schedule I narcotics and possession of Schedule II narcotics.

According to Sheriff Brett Stassi, narcotic agents with the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Jaylayn Wilson, DOB 6/15/95 of 2060 Jake Lane, St. Gabriel, for PWITD Schedule I narcotics, PWITD Schedule II narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a CDS in the presence of a juvenile. Agents also arrested Aaron Jones, DOB 11/21/89, of 1780 Besson Lane, Sunshine for PWITD Schedule II narcotics, possession of marijuana, 2nd offense, possession of a CDS in the presence of a juvenile.

The Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office along with the Plaquemine and Addis Police Departments need your help identifying the man wearing the white shirt. We are looking for him in connection with the theft of a credit card. Anyone with information as to his identity is asked to contact the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office @ 225-687-3553.

Enterprise Blvd. in Plaquemine is now open!

According to Sheriff Brett Stassi, detectives with the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from a local business reporting that several items had been taken from a job site. Following an investigation, detectives arrested Randy Rooks, DOB 10/22/86, of 27420 Hwy 405, Plaquemine, for possession of stolen things. Detectives have also issued an arrest warrant for Kevin Johnson, DOB 12/4/79, of 52750 H. Lewis Street, Plaquemine, for felony theft in connection with the same incident. Anyone who may know the whereabouts of Kevin Johnson is asked to contact the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office at 225-687-3553.

Yesterday we celebrated the retirement of Nira Taylor. Nira has served the citizens of the Iberville Parish for 27 years and will be missed greatly. Due to roofing repairs at the courthouse, the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office Administration Office will be closed today, Friday August 3, 2018. We will reopen for business on Monday, August 6, 2018. Sorry for any inconveniences.

Sheriff Brett Stassi reports that on July 24, 2018, narcotic detectives conducted a search warrant at 23525 Marshall Street, Plaquemine. In connection with that search warrant, detectives arrested Dawud Seals, DOB 8/24/1980 on the following charges: Possession of Schedule I narcotics; Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II narcotics; and Possession of drug paraphernalia. District Judge Alvin Batiste set his bond at $71,000.00. In March, 2016, Seals was arrested by the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office for 2 cts of possession with intent to distribute Schedule I narcotics, possession of Schedule II narcotics and possession of Schedule III narcotics. Seals bonded out on a $30,500.00. He failed to appear for his scheduled arraignment date and a bench warrant was issued with a new bond of $60,000.00. Seals was arrested on that warrant in March, 2017, he posted bond and was released. The bond on those charges have now been revoked following his recent arrest. Stassi said that Seals is a main distributor of heroin in our parish.

Sheriff Brett Stassi reports that detectives have arrested one suspect while another suspect remains at large in connection with the drive by shooting that occurred near Alice Street Park in White Castle on July 15th. Dia Reneau, DOB 6/15/97, of 32470 Chairmonte Drive, White Castle, was arrested and booked into the Iberville Parish Jail for attempted 2nd degree murder. The suspect that remains at large is Jeremiah Sheppard, DOB 9/16/97. Detectives have secured an arrest warrant for Sheppard for principle to attempted 2nd degree murder. Anyone with information in connection with this case is asked to contact the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office at 225-687-3553.

According to Sheriff Brett Stassi on June 30, 2018, narcotic agents with the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Brodrico Dunn, DOB 12/13/74, of 58479 Allen Street, Plaquemine, on the following charges: possession with intent to distribute Schedule I narcotics; possession with intent to distribute Schedule II narcotics; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sheriff Brett Stassi reports that on June 27, 2018, the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Christopher Stewart, DOB 10/22/88, of 65065 Little Farms Road, Plaquemine, for possession with intent to distribute Schedule II narcotics.

Sheriff Brett Stassi reports that on May 11, 2018 narcotic agents with the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested LeKolby Brown, DOB 10/16/1995 of 6610 Hwy 74, St. Gabriel for possession of Schedule I narcotics (marijuana), possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to Iberville Parish Sheriff Brett Stassi, authorities were notified that several loads of crushed concrete had been stolen from a local business. An investigation led to the arrest of Garrett Morales, DOB 8/31/81 of 4652 Jaselyn Ann Avenue, Addis and Lindsey Langlois, DOB 6/6/81 of 64425 Gisclard Road, Plaquemine. Morales was booked into the Iberville Parish Jail for theft, criminal trespassing, unauthorized use of a moveable, possession of Schedule I narcotics and possession of Schedule II narcotics. Langlois was booked for theft and criminal trespassing.
