We enjoyed having lots of little trick-or-treaters come through yesterday!

Since the announcement of our K9 Drako receiving his bullet proof vest, we have had many ask about our other K9, Titan, receiving a vest also. We are happy to announce that a very generous citizen of our parish, who wishes to remain anonymous, has donated the funds for the purchase of a bullet proof vest for Titan. The process to have him fitted and have the vest custom made can take up to a couple months. But we are very thankful for this generous donation.

RED RIBBON WEEK DAY 5 Yesterday was the fifth and final day of Red Ribbon Week. Our K9 team wrapped the week up by visiting Nebo Elementary and LaSalle Headstart. This is always such an enjoyable week for our team, as we love getting to see all the children of our parish, sharing with them about what we do, and raising awareness about the importance of making good decisions in life and saying NO to drugs. We already look forward to next year!

RED RIBBON WEEK DAY 4 Today our K9 team visited LaSalle High School and LaSalle Jr. High. You can view our entire demonstration from LHS on our page!

We had a great time this morning at the Hardtner Health Fair in Urania, with our K9 team, Drako, Titan, and of course everybody’s favorite, Judy! A big thank you to Hardtner Medical Center for allowing us the opportunity and supporting our K9 team! Next week our K9 team will be in each of the schools in our parish for Red Ribbon Week.

LaSalle Parish Sheriff’s Office is in LaSalle Parish Schools... As the new school year begins for students, fifth graders will have an extra curriculum being taught to them during the Fall semester. The D.A.R.E., Keepin’ It REAL program, is being taught to all 5th graders in LaSalle Parish. D.A.R.E. students will learn how to make safe and responsible decisions, how drugs negatively effect their health, how to deal with peer pressure, the dangers of bullying, and many more life skills. The important topics that are covered in the D.A.R.E. program will help the students to grow, even past their 5th grade year, into responsible adults.

Just a friendly reminder from some of our officers who work school pickup and drop off times... it is against the law to talk or text on your cell phone in ANY school zone. Hands free options, however, are acceptable.
