On Feb 26th. At approx 23:00 hrs. Officer with the Livingston Police Department observed a suspicious vehicle lurking around the Interstate Mini Storage business . Upon further investigation the officer located a white male inside the climate control units rummaging through items. Subject had a pair of bolt cutters and the master lock had been cut off. Subject then advised he had burglarized the unit.subject arrested was Cameron Fletcher w/m DOB 4/11/1996 of 16642Cathage Bluff Rd. Springfield,la.70462

I would like to clear the rumors we have not had any threats made to do any shootings at our schools in Town of Livingston.I assure that my Department and the Sheriffs Department are on top of all situations and working to keep all students safe. Some have posted that a weapon was found at Doyle school last week that is not true. I ask that if you have any valid proof of illegal activity contact my department or the sheriff department don’t post things on Facebook that you don’t know if it true .

On 9/3/2017 The Livingston Police Department was conducting radar enforcement on hwy 190 inside the city limits of Livingston when a vehicle was stopped for traveling 61/mph in 45 mph zone. Upon further investigation the officer found the driver to be in possession of 20 grams of marijuana, several smokeing pipes and a ziplock bag containing what turned out to be LSD {ACID} subject was arrested then transported to LPSO Jail and booked on charges of speeding,poss. of marijuana, poss of drug paraphernalia,an poss. SCH. 1[acid/LSD]. ARRESTEE was JOSEPH PAUL HERNANDEZ W/M 7/22/1997 34551 Ernest Stilly Rd.

On Aug. 18th. The Livingston Police Department conducted a DWI/DRUG Empairment ck.point on Hwy 63 in The Town of Livingston. a total of 388 vehicles were checked resulting in 1-DWI arrest ,2- summons for drug paraphnaila,1 summons for poss of marijuana,an 3- traffic citations.

Be aware and be Sober or get pulled over.

The Town of Livingston Police Department is joining state and local law enforcement agencies and highway safety groups in supporting the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign, starting August 18, 2017-September 3, 2017. Alongside funding from the Louisiana Highway and Safety Commission, our agency is supporting this awareness campaign to promote sober driving across not only our town, but the state of Louisiana. Our agency also would like to raise awareness of the preventable accidents and fatalities associated with driving under the influence. Please DRIVE SOBER or you will GET PULLED OVER!

Please avoid I-12 East. There will be heavy traffic in the area due to an overturned semi truck just passed the Holden Exit. Please be careful and cautious while driving in town today. Everyone have a safe day.

On July 10,2016 The Livingston Police responded to a complaint of Sexual Assault which occurred in the Town of LIvingston. The victim gave statements that a male friend of hers came to her residence on 2 separate occasions and sexually assaulted her. After investigations and interviews, warrants were issued for RODNEY MORRIS B/M DOB 6/10/83 For Felony Sexual Battery,Misdemeanor Sexual Battery, False Imprisonment and Attempted second degree rape. On June 26,2017 Morris turned himself into Livingston Parish Detention Center to be booked on above charges. Morris was a East Baton Rouge Sheriffs Dyputy at the time.

Just to let you good citizens know, your Police Department has had a busy week. On June 23rd, we reported to you the arrest made on 3 business burglaries. On the 24th, we arrested 3 juveniles for numerouse vehicle burglaries in the nevada st. ,south cedar st areas. On june 25th, officers and myself were called to the Livingston Parish Assessor Office for a break in. Upon further investigation it was learned that the assessors 2017 chevy truck was stolen, along with items from the building. On monday June 26th, officers with the Denham Springs Police attempted to stop the stolen truck where a short chase occurred with subjects exiting the truck after going through a fence. All subjects were quickly arrested. The Livingston Police charged RANDON BLAKE WILLIAMS W/M DOB 10/20/96 with simple burglary, felony theft, and unauthorized use of motor vehicle. Subject was booked into Livingston Parish Detention Center.

Update from LPSO on the current traffic situation!

Please avoid I-12 East for the next few hours. A semi-truck has overturned at the Holden exit. I-12 will be shut down at this time. The Town will also see an overflow of traffic being diverted from I-12. Please share this and as always be safe.

May 22 through June 4, 2017, the Town of Livingston Police Department is joining state and local law enforcement agencies and highway safety groups in supporting the "Click it or Ticket" campaign. Our agency is supporting this awareness campaign to promote the usage of seat belts and to aid in diminishing the overall number of fatalities from lack of restraints. (Alongside funding from the Louisiana Highway and Safety Commission). Please remember “Click it, or Ticket!”
