The police department has had a high rate of bicycle theft reports over the past couple of months. Please be sure to store bicycles when not in use. If possible, take a photograph of your bicycle, note any serial number or identifying marks, and keep receipts. These steps will assist in the identification and return of stolen bicycle reports. On 06/21/18 Sgt Cummings conducted a traffic stop for equipment violations. During the course of the stop it was found that the driver had warrants from multiple agencies. Also suspected marijuana was located in the vehicle.

On 06/16/18 Ofc Onishea conducted a traffic stop for violations. During the course of the stop consent to search was obtained. Found in the vehicle was a stolen hand gun and suspected marijuana. It was also found that the driver was unable to possess a firearm due to being a convicted felon.

On 06/01/18 Sgt Cummings coducted a traffic stop for violations. During the stop consent to search the vehicle was given. Found in the vehicle were two different types of Legend Drugs along with suspected Methamphetamine and Open Alcoholic Containers.

On 05/29/18 Glenmora PD was advised of a Robbery in Progress at Anna's Gas Station. Upon officers arrival they found the suspect had fled from the scene. Officers from Glenmora PD along with deputies from Rapides S.O then began an investigation into the incident. Arrest have been made in connection to the incident.

***Attention*** There has been a malfunction with the train currently passing through the town. As of now, it is blocking both the Main Street and Turkey Creek Road crossings. In order to cross over, all drivers will need to do so at the East Cady Road crossing in McNary. At this time, we do not have an estimate as to when this may be resolved.

On 03/28/18. During an investigation of an unrelated complaint Sgt Cummings came into contact with a vehicle that contained suspected narcotics in plain view on the seating area. Arrest have been made in connection with this investigation.

On 01/18/18 Sgt Cummings initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for traffic violations. During course of the stop consent to search was obtained. Found in the vehicle was a plastic box containing suspected Methamphetamine. After interviewing both the driver and passenger both possessed narcotics on their person. Found during the stop were drug paraphernalia, suspected Methamphetamine, and prescription morphine pills.
