Rosepine Police Department News

I would like to thank everyone who supported me during this campaign. I’d also like to thank my opponent Randy Perry for a clean and friendly race. I look forward to serving as your Chief of Police these next 4 years. God Bless you and the Town of Rosepine. Chief Delbert Keel

Trick or Treating for the Rosepine area is scheduled for WEDNESDAY October 31st from 6 PM - 8 PM. Please remember to stay safe, bring a flashlight or glow sticks. And don’t forget to watch out for all the little ghost and goblins.

A juvenile was arrested in the recent vehicle burglaries in the area. As a reminder always lock your vehicles, even if they are parked at your home.

This past Saturday several within the community came out to join us in our 1st annual “Police and Community Partnership Day.” This event is about awareness & bringing the the community together. Our hope is to help eliminate the negativity that goes on between kids, young people and law enforcement. A special thanks to all the sponsors that helped put this on Saturday was full of good entertainment, good food and best of all good PEOPLE.

Today Officer Wall spent some time with his newest little friend Andrew, who is 4 years old. Andrew’s dad is in the military and they are stationed on Fort Polk, but unfortunately they are having to move to Georgia this weekend. Andrew loves everything about police & officers. So today he was given a tour of one of our units and had the chance to experiment with the lights and sirens. We are thankful for families like Andrew and his parents and we wish them well on their new journey.

Today we had the privilege of participating in a Back to School Bash hosted by “The Church”, in Rosepine. We completed and gave out close to 200 Child ID’s. The Church had an amazing turn out and gave out several hundred back packs to school age children. It was a group effort to see that everything was a success. Thanks to everyone who helped!

Show your support by attending the Military Appreciation Parade on Saturday July 14th @ 10 AM

Look everyone Rosepine IS NOT the only place called a “SPEED TRAP.”

It looks like Chief Keel has been “Flocked!” As a fundraiser for the RHS Cheerleaders, Chief Keel is proud to support our local schools.

We would like to wish all the teams still playing ball this weekend the best of luck. And Good Luck to the DeRidder Dragons today as they play for the State Championship.

It’s Game Day.... And we would like to wish our Rosepine Lady Eagles the best of luck today. #geauxeagles Chief Keel and staff

The Rosepine Town Hall was honored to have students from Rosepine Elementary Student Council stop by yesterday. It’s always a pleasure to have students stop by the office, but this group of young people were not only there learning, they treated us with cookies as a random act of kindness. From Chief Delbert Keel and Mayor Donna Duvall, Thank you Rosepine Elementary and Student Council.

Chief Delbert Keel has a big heart, and during the holiday season he wanted to give back to the community. He put a smile on the face of a brother and sister by presenting them each with a brand new bicycle. And two different families were each given a Christmas Ham. According to Chief Keel, “Giving” is what the holidays are all about. And he enjoyed it just as much as these three families did.

I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. The department is working towards a safe New Year’s Eve. We urge everyone to be safe in their celebrations, and have fun. But keep in mind that just ONE alcoholic drink can impair your judgement, so think ahead by designating a sober driver. Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and fulfilling 2018 !! Chief Keel
