West Tisbury Police Department News

Thank you to the West Tisbury Fire Dept for educating our young people in fire safety and what to do incase of a fire. We are glad we could participate in this event.

A special thank you to Conroy’s Apothecary and Fella’s for sponsoring our involvement in “National Coffee with a cop day” yesterday. We appreciate the conversations and allowing us to step into everyone’s routines for a few hours.

Please Join WTPD and its officers for National Coffee with a Cop Day. No agendas or speeches, just a chance to engage in casual conversation, ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know officers in your neighborhood. The West Tisbury Police Department regrets to inform the community of the passing of Officer Daniel Gouldrup. Officer Daniel Gouldrup, 59, has been serving the town of West Tisbury since 1986, most recently assigned to the Martha's Vineyard Airport. It has been an honor and privilege to have served with Officer Gouldrup. His passing comes as an unexpected shock to the department as we begin to mourn his loss. It appears his passing was of natural causes while at home. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this time. Information about final arrangements will be made available when known. Chief Matthew Mincone
