At 2:10 PM this afternoon, Lawrence Police responded a to report of a disturbance at the intersection of Marston and Canal Street. The disturbance was an altercation between an adult male who is now in police custody, and two juveniles age 16 and 17. This incident did not involve a carjacking. The juveniles fled the scene, and were subsequently involved in a motor vehicle accident. There were no injuries. A Lawrence Police Detective was involved in a motor vehicle accident responding to the incident. Both he and operator of the other motor vehicle were transported to Lawrence General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
