Our citizen's academy class was treated to a first hand look to some of our motor vehicle stop training simulations. Officers never know what awaits them in a stopped car as they approach on an mv stop, what some may call a "routine" stop can escalate very quickly and officers must make split second decisions. That is why the training that officers receive is so crucial. We always relish the opportunity to help the public understand the police officer's point of view on a multitude of scenarios, although they deal with it on a daily basis, many officers will agree that there is truly no such thing as a "routine" stop.

Peabody Memorial Day Parade 2018 Words alone can’t fully express our gratitude to all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice so that we may live in freedom - THANK YOU to all who have served and are currently serving!

Great morning for a run. Proud to represent PPD on the MA Special Olympics team at the Boston Run to Remember.

Outstanding work by all agencies and departments involved!! Thirteen people were arrested and 12 were arraigned yesterday in connection with a major heroin/fentanyl and oxycodone trafficking operation on Boston’s North Shore dismantled as part of a large-scale joint takedown by federal, state and local law enforcement, Attorney General Maura Healey announced today. These charges are the result of an extensive investigation involving AG Healey’s Enterprise, Major and Cyber Crime Division, Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Commonwealth Interstate Narcotics Reduction Enforcement Team (CINRET) and the AG’s Office, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the Lynn, Beverly, Danvers and Peabody Police Departments.

In honor of National EMS week, we would like to send a BIG THANK YOU to our brother and sister first responders over at Atlantic Ambulance Service and all other ambulance agencies and EMTs all over the nation for all the hard work they put in on a daily basis! We honestly can't thank them enough for what they do and the lives they save day in day out! THANK YOU!

It appears the Energy Scam has surfaced again. If you get a call from National Grid requesting immediate payment by credit card on Past Due account it it a SCAM - Do not provide any personal information or credit card numbers. It is a fraud. Neither National Grid nor PMLP utilize this tactic.
