The Saugus Police Department will be offering free child safety seat inspections to residents on: Tuesday January 23rd, 2018. (4:30PM-8:30PM) Inspections will be by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, please call Det. Stacey Forni or Off. Bryan Misci at 781-941-1190. Both officers have received their National Child Passenger Safety Certification. Residents will be required to provide the make and model of their vehicle and the child safety seat.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a strong but fast-moving coastal storm on Thursday, January 4 that will bring accumulating snow across the entire state. Strong winds are also expected, and when combined with wet, heavy snow, bring potential for scattered to widespread power outages. In the event of severe power outages or heating issues, emergency shelter will be activated if needed at the Saugus Senior Center. Please Read Parking Ban………1/4/2018 PARKING BAN" effective in Saugus, MA Due to this predicted severe winter storm, the Town of Saugus has issued a Snow Emergency and Town-Wide Parking Ban, effective at 6 a.m. tomorrow, Thursday, January 4, 2018, and lasting until 6 a.m. on Friday morning, January 5, 2018, or until updated. Motor Vehicles remaining on the streets may be ticketed and towed. The Town needs to have roadways cleared, plowed, salted and sanded for public safety and emergency vehicle access. Parking is available in the parking lot at the Saugus High School on Pearce Memorial Drive. The official designated lot is known as the “UPPER LOT ON LEFT” as you drive down Pearce Memorial Drive.
