Congratulations Red Sox ⚾️

Thank you to all those who participated in our first Dodge-A-Cop event. More pictures to follow.

Boston Police Department (Official) K9 Unit is also doing demonstrations with one of their police dogs. They will be at the GSU until noon.

BUPD officers are at the GSU today with coffee and cookies. Stop by for conversation and laptop registration. We will be here until 1 pm

With the Red Sox in the World Series, Boston is an exciting place to be. We hope our student population remains safe. BPD Commissioner Gross has a special message:

BUPD Police Week starts Monday. We will be at the GSU Link Monday-Wednesday 10-2. We have lots to talk about, giveaway and we finish the week with a Dodgeball event.

The BUPD Blood Drive is underway at the GSU. We will be there until 3 pm

Don’t forget to stop by tomorrow from 9-3 at the GSU

🚔 Update on the recent Check Cashing Scams— An arrest was made on Saturday October 13. The BUPD would like to credit the vigilant BU community for contacting the police and leading to the arrest of the individual. Thank you! Moving forward, we remind people to be aware of future scams and to contact the BUPD at 617-353-2121.

Yesterday, BUPD bike officers attended the Cops On Bikes Regional Assistance Unit Advanced Training.

In hopes to protect our community against Check Cashing scams, please see our recent crime alert

Throughout the month of October, officers are wearing a pink band on their badges to show support of breast cancer awareness.

The thin blue line turns red for the day on October 18 as we host our blood drive. Please help us by registering your appointment ahead of time. Look for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Brigham and Women’s Hospital Blood Mobile at the GSU Thursday OCTOBER 18 from 9-3 pm

We may not have won, but overall the team improved. Yesterday, officers participated in the Ed Walsh Wiffle Ball Tournament. The event was created to celebrate the life of fallen Boston Firefighter Ed Walsh. Proceeds from the event support the Ed Walsh Foundation which supports families in the greater Boston area.

SCAM ALERT ⚠️ We have received several reports of male party approaching students and asking for them to deposit checks in exchange for money. This is usually done near an ATM. If you find yourself in this scenario, please call the BUPD right away. This is a scam.

Our sincere gratitude to the Officer Ronald Tarentino, Jr. Charitable Fund. Today they stopped by our station with a generous gift for BUPD Officer Ron Gately. As many of you know, Ofc Gately is currently battling cancer. We appreciate their support for Ron and his family 💙
